Tensions outside the Delaney Hall immigrant detention center in Newark, New Jersey boiled over this weekend, with Senator Andy Kim attempting to intervene and de-escalate and instead getting hit with pepper spray by DHS agents. The conditions inside Delaney Hall are so bad that 300 detainees are currently participating in a hunger strike. This is all part of the larger fascist plan to dehumanize immigrants so we all look the other way.
