DHS Threatens To Arrest Sitting Members Of Congress

On Friday, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested outside ICE facility Delaney Hall after trying to join New Jersey Congressional Representatives on an investigation of the facility. He has been charged with trespassing, and now DHS has threatened to bring charges against the sitting members of Congress who were there that day.

The Constitutional Showdown Has Arrived

With Judge Boasberg finding probable cause to hold the Trump administration in contempt of court and Judge Xinis, who's presiding over the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case, eyeing sanctions as well, there is no doubt that the Trump administration has openly defied court orders at this point. What remains unknown is what happens next. We are all watching with bated breath to see if the Trump administration respects any judicial authority at all, or if we have reached a point where judicial orders no longer hold any sway over the regime. Something tells me it will be a secret, but also bad, third thing.
